DESCRIPTION

dline Zinc Oxide-Eugenol Cement is a self-curing, modified cement based on zinc oxide and eugenol, normal and slow setting.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

NOTE! Do not use if primary package is broken. Do not use in direct contact with pulp tissue. It is recommended to use cofferdam during application of the device.

1. Prepare surface as always. For deep cavities use calcium hydroxide liner.
2. Mix powder and liquid just before application.
3. Mixing ratio: 2 level spoons of powder / 3 drops of liquid.
4. For mixing use metal spatula and glass slab or paper mixing pad. The powder should be added to the liquid in 2 portions (at least), until exact consistency is reached. Total mixing time is 30 seconds.
5. The working area must be kept dry.
6. Total working and setting times are as follows:
   1. Normal setting cement: working time is 2-3 minutes including mixing at 23°C, setting time is about 5 minutes at 37°C.
   2. Slow setting cement: working time is up to 10 minutes including mixing at 23°C, setting time is about 30 minutes at 37°C.
7. Apply mixed cement with suitable instrument into cavity.
8. After cement is set cementation is ready for finishing.

NOTE!

1. The working/setting time depends upon the availability of moisture, the ambient, oral temperature and mixing ratio. Increased temperature/moisture and amount of powder will reduce the working/setting time. Vice versa decreased temperature/moisture and less powder will prolong the working/setting time.
2. Mixing proportions variations may affect the strength and durability of the material.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS!

NOTE! The device contains zinc oxide and eugenol. Do not use dline Zinc Oxide- Eugenol Cement if patient is allergic to device or to any of the ingredients.

Hazard and precautionary statements:

Liquid contains eugenol, which causes serious eye irritation, skin irritation, may cause an allergic skin reaction or respiratory irritation, harmful if swallowed. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. IF ON SKIN OR MUCOSA: Wash with plenty of water. If skin/mucosa irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Call a Poison Center or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.

Prevention:

Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Use only in well ventilated area. Avoid breathing dust of powder. It is recommended to wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection for doctor and patient. Avoid release to the environment.

Interaction with other substances:

Do not use dline Zinc Oxide-Eugenol Cement with polymer-based restorative materials.

STORAGE

Keep tightly closed in dry well-ventilated place at 4-28°C. Protect from moisture, direct sunlight and heat sources. The  batch  number should be  quoted in  all correspondence. See packaging for batch and expiry date. Do not use after the expiry date. Dispose of contents/container to as required by national regulatory requirements. Keep out of the reach of children!
